D3 Gearbox Flush
I know its been covered before but thought I would add my tow pennies worth!!
My car has done 80K and I was starting to get a 'bump' as the car changed into 1st as it stopped at traffic lights and so on. I also thought that the gear changes were becoming more noticeable. After reading up on this great forum I decided to go for a gearbox flush with 4 Tech.
Its a bit of a drive from Potters Bar but not too bad. Anyway, booked an early slot and off I went. On arrival I was greeted by the owner and despite having a nice chat the car was very quickly and efficiently hooked up to the flush machine.
In no time at all the old black fluid was replaced by nice new red stuff (very technical I know) I was in and out within about half an hour.
On driving away the difference was almost unbelievable. No more clunk into first gear on slowing to a stop and the gear changes are almost imperceptible.
I now wish I'd had it done sooner and as I tow a heavy caravan may well have the process repeated at 100k just for peace of mind and longevity.
Would recommend this mod to everyone and don't leave it until you get any symptoms in my opinion!!
All the best

Geoff, my autobox 'hangs' in 5th quite a lot, seems reluctant to change up into 6th.
Would a flush sort this out do you reckon?
And how much will it cost me??? 😊If it has TIT's or WHEEL's it will cause you problems!!
