Bonnet cable broken!

Hi guys, believe this is sensitive issue but long story short my cable has snapped bonnet end or connector box popped open. Alternater has gone, towed back home, stuck in road windows halfway down and cannot lock! Bonnet opened an HR b4 as got a jump start then just popped when home and stuck fast, checked handle end and ok there so bonnet end it must be. Have popped grille out at bottom but can't really get my arm up to check cable if joining box has popped open. Any help appreciated, tia

With that being your first post you're going to struggle to get any advice on an open forum.
Best suggestion: keep trying, you'll suss it out. Wink
Here's a pic that might help you understand.

Good luck and welcome. Wink

You need to be aware that a failing alternator will kill a perfectly good battery due to a dead short.
I'd tactfully suggest you don't leave it overnight otherwise you could very likely be back at square one, locked out with another flat battery. Big Cry
