Bonnet protection tape/Chequer/thingy

Hi.
Just wanted to know if anyone ever put checkerplates or some kind of Griptape on the bonnet. I tend to use the bonnet as a table for various tools and stuff and it gets quite scratched.

Anyone got any nice products to recommend for saving the paint, and stop tools from rolling off? Figure I can always put skateboard tape on it, but maybe there is a more pro solution...

thanks.

I assumed people use this car as a work tool as well, and then I need a place to put stuff when I'm working Smile

Not necessarily girls thou... maybe one or two toddlers at the most.

Ebay search for Treadmaster, used it on the boat and the D3 rear doors to give the dog some grip, havent a clue what it would be like to remove though, I would guess some hot air and thinners for the glue residue should see any evidence removed?

For a less permanent solution:

I often use a roll-up door mat such as these when using the car as a working platform

Just a few quid and can easily be stowed
