So after years of lurking, I have agreed to buy a D3.
I wont have it for a couple of weeks, but I am already excited! The car is a D3 G4 V8... and has not actually been for sale publically so i am very lucky (if now also poor).
One thing I will need to do before the summer is fit rear air conditioning.. has anybody done this? I am assuming a massively difficult install to be honest but I have to have it to keep the big dog cool in the boot.
Next will be a complete underbody treatment.
I doubt but hope that will be all on my list!

A V8 G4, that's a rare and wonderful vehicle.
I'm surprised to hear that it doesn't have rear A/C though. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Rare indeed in RHD form... an unknown exact number, but only 38 or so made and most of those LHD, so extremely rare.
This one has only 65k miles and is in VGC unlike another I looked at that was well past it's best.
Neither of the ones I looked at had rear AC, but although it was a big problem, I could not resist!

Welcome to the V8 club.
Your vehicle must be very rare even among the European V8s. RHD, V8 and G4 8)

Most early hse had the rear a/c as std and it was an option on later cars, bound to be a few in the breakers by now, the rear a/c is really good for dogs, but its going to be a costly affair to sort out.

If you do add the rear A/C, I'd use aftermarket flexible plastic pipes not the oe LR metal ones that rust out after a few years. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
