Bought D3 - No Towbar Keys |
|
Just bought a used D3. Dealer says he'll contact the previous owner or send me some spare keys as there aren't many different ones.. (??) Not hopeful of a solution so if neither option works, do LR keep records of the keys issued with each vehicle? It's an '05. Thanks for any replies.. The lock on the towbar can quite easily be replaced (instructions with lock, dont ask on here ) this is why so many are stolen, like ours
LR wont keep records as it was not part of the car.

So I just get a new lock from my stealer, but the one I got the motor from may be cheaper.. Thanks.. That must be the quickest reply to a thread ever..
I didn't get the Owners Manual either, but of course we were so in love with it we didn't notice until later.. Make the most of this life, you may not have a Landy or skis in the next one.

Would of thought if they cant supply you with a key for the towbar they could supply you with a new lock set FOC (if it was an LR dealer?) and also I would push for a book pack, if not there is usually one or 2 floating around on ebay

Great, the dealer sent me the new lock & keys which arrived today - just the green bit and two keys, and there are no instructions.. I'll just have to see if it's obvious once I get the plate off the other side with the socket headed screw.. Plus it also needs WD after not having been taken off for a while...
And I also got the Owners Manual.. Make the most of this life, you may not have a Landy or skis in the next one.
