Excuse my ignorance, is the pre-heater only for the diesel engined LR3s or does the V8 have it as well? '10 LR4 Nara Bronze V8 HSE + everything

looks pretty easy to wire onto the LandRover button on the key fob, just on with it now.

Why wouldnt you want to have a pre-heater on the V8? Can they only use diesel? Just interested, it can get pretty cold here in Calgary, a pre-heater sounds like a good idea. '10 LR4 Nara Bronze V8 HSE + everything

There are petrol burning ones available but LR don't fit one as standard. No reason why you couldn't have one fitted elsewhere though (except for possible warranty implications) The End

I am really confused....I thought the pre heater was disabled in an 'upgrade' 2007 TDV6 HSE 'Silver Lady'. With 'free' privacy glass LOL.

Now look what you've started Gareth... all the questions about FBH, Timer, Smoke, Smells, MPG affect, Noises etc etc etc are all yours
Oh and I bet DoubleD's won't work
Don't worry about the ability to manually start or set a time to start the FBH - It cannot be done... Webasto do an upgrade I think now but its pricey.
And there is a sw update to stop the aircon drawing in the fumes... and as Gareth says, all your D3's should be up to date enough for this.
You'll also find the viscous coupling making a lot of noise too when the engines very cold... again its normal
CW - you don't need to worry as its nearly summer there

Had the oval timer installed so mine smokes every morning regardless of temp.
Cheers
