Correct, two studs to undo and replace, pads usually come with new studs, push pistons back, slip pads in, re-assemble, job done Thumbs Up parking brake shoes are completely separate, it's worth blowing the brake drums out with brake cleaner while you're in there, wear a mask when blowing out.

Thanks, that’s great news.

Read elsewhere that one reason for the rears wearing quicker is to do with ESP/EBD bringing things back in to line. Mind you, also read that someone has just fitted his second set of rear pads at 140k so read into it what you like Neutral

Begs the question, well at least for me, how long do pads and disks generally last? My (and previous owner) did mostly long haul motorway trips in the car, She's still on its original pads and discs at 48k miles!! And looks like about 4 - 5mm left on the pads.

So with that kind of driving what would I expect out of a set of pads & discs?

Just had MOT at 38k and second set of front pads 60% worn. First set of rears 20% worn. Seem a complete imbalance. Brake seem to be fine but wear suggests rears not contributing much!

2016 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 Graphite LE Auto Stornoway GreyDiscovery 4

Afternoon,

Just back from service, vehicle showing 29,129 miles and rear pads 90% worn, fronts 70% worn.

Me and the previous owner are not speed demons and it gets treated very very gently.

LR wanted £706.36 Inc VAT for the pleasure. Shocked

That being said, has anyone got any recommendations on Pads? Laughing

Ive seen some recommendations for EBC Greenstuff?

Cheers
