Brake Pads and Discs

At what time should they be changed Exclamation

Iv noticed that Im having to press harder, before getting in the boot of the car in front. the D3 s now done 28,500 miles , should they have been done by now Exclamation
Can anyone provide any advice.

Just had my 15000 mile service and was advised that the pads are 50% worn which they said was normal.

So from that I would say at 28500 miles they should be about ready to be changed.
 Back in the game!

yup reckon should be about right!
mine are being replaced now at 77k.
that's the second set, so average of 38.5k ..BUT ..
most of my miles are motorway.. and
.. I'm not one to be harsh on brakes.

Simon .. I'd just have a precautionary check that you're not losing fluid!!
You shouldn't have to press the pedal harder just due to wear.
In my opinion you wouldn't notice any different brake pedal action througout the life of your pads, unless its a fluid leak or pad contamination.
 I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
