Our RRS did this every time, about 20-30 seconds after you switched off the engine. I haven't notice that the D3 does it.

It is, The Disco Fart!

You can invoke a little expulsion of gas if you try to open a locked door or tailgate after its been parked and locked up for a while.

Seriously though, its the air suspension leveling itself. Sometimes when you unlock the car it will give a little hiss as the system wakes up.

This is straight out of the Workshop Manual for the Disco and explains the periodic farting!

Periodic Re-levelling
When the vehicle is parked, the air suspension control module 'wakes up' two hours after
the ignition was last switched off and then once every six hours. The vehicle height is
checked and if the vehicle is not level within a pre-set tolerance, small downwards height
adjustments may be made automatically.

If you watch closely, you can predict when it's going to do the 'fart'. Normally when the last door closes when leaving the car.

Useful to know if you need to let one off without arousing suspicion...

Funny that, I was wondering just a couple of days ago how long it'd be before someone mentioned the D3 fart again Very Happy
