Sounds like you made the same mistake as I did, sadly, you've bought the wrong one and if you don't mind me saying so, have paid a whopping price for it too. Big Cry

AMK Compressor Mounting holes/lugs

I asked Britpart about why the compressor mounting holes were not tapped.
Their reply below.


"The screws supplied in the kit to fix the compressor to the housing are self-tapping, these will form their own thread into the aluminium compressor housing.
Land Rover use the same method but they supply the compressor already fitted to the bracket.
The reason being that this gives a more secure fixing and less likelihood of the screws becoming loose under vibration, without the need for application of a Loctite sealer or similar thread locker."


I think Britpart should include the above information with each compressor kit they sell.
