hi, did you buy exactly the same model number? Some shops selling replacements have said the last 3 numbers don’t matter? Just newer versions?

I just bought the same stereo didnt even look at part numbersD3 in Buckingham blue now SWMBO's Mine D4 commercial

Hi thanks for the reply, spent all day phoning round.... no one seems to know the best option, I’m torn between gambling on a a second hand unit with different part number, the first few are the same or buying the amp bypass loom and an aftermarket touchscreen stereo ? I’ve also noticed the reverse sensors no longer work, are these run with the head unit too?

According to my (admittedly old) version of Microcat VUX500320 was superseded by VUX500330 which in turn was superseded by VUX500490
So any of the units ending with the above part numbers should work.

Sorry for late reply... thanks for that info, I ordered a second hand unit 500330 plugged it and it works perfectly! So glad I didn’t listen to Land Rover and pay the £1700! Thanks for everyone’s help 👍🏻😊
