Well after reading 18 pages on a previous post on egr's , it sounds like its gonna stay in place and get secured with a self tapper Mr. Green

Tawnyowl, some of them are a bit tight, I used two pribars, they look like
a flat blade screw driver with wider heads and are bent at about a 45 deg angle.
The trick is to apply equal force with both bars to pop it off and they must be opposite
each other. Flat screw drivers can work, but don't get in behind the actuator that well.
If you feel you are going to break something, disconnect the linkage and put a self
tapper in it Thumbs Up

I used waterpump pliers and made sure I was pulling exactly along the direction of the spindle. It required more force than you'd think, and I had to be careful not to crush the part as it is hollow Rolling Eyes

I suspect If I had to do it again, I'd use a couple of those small bicycle tyre levers, and do as DiscoEast suggested.

edit : http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post323875.html#323875 may give some hints too Thumbs Up
