as per title, we are looking at getting a high spec D4.
Having moved back out into the sticks we are missing the old D3 (and I badly stuffed SWMBO's PHEV outlander into a ditch today). I've also just offloaded my BMW 530d F11 Msport so like the idea of a nice smooth 8 speed box and lots of toys.
SWMBO has narrowed our search down to an HSE or above, not black or white, preferably black interior, can anyone let me know what we should look out for i.e. offer a bit of purchasing advice regarding faults, niggles, mileage issues, etc. etc.
Budget is less than 25k GBP. Gone but far from forgotten 55' plate HSE.

For £25k you'll be looking at a high mileage 8 speed HSE. What toys are you after. I've just bought an SE TECH that has everything I need plus what it hasn't got can be added. I bought mine from the LR Approved stock purely for the 2 year warranty and breakdown cover. Car Gurus is also a good place to look.

careful with the lr warranty it not underwritten by lr its car care trading as 'lr uk' or something if you read small print and they dont cover manufacturing faults i.e snapped crank. if its over 3 years old then it moves from manufacturers to this.
warranty direct cover appears more comprehensive

p.s. anything over 5'6" is high in our house.... Gone but far from forgotten 55' plate HSE.
