Why do some call a D3 a Jeep or truck ?

I am not trying to start WW3 I will leave that to Trumpy pants Laughing ,some folk call a Disco or other 4x4 a truck or jeep for me a jeep is a Jeep and a truck is a goods vehicle I not suggesting I am right just wonder is it a regional thing ? Thumbs Up Land Rover 90 - deceased Sad
