Caller name not shown for incoming calls

I have a 2010 D4 and an iphone 3GS running IOS 6.1.6. I think it coincided with an IOS update but the caller name does not show on the screen when I receive an incoming call, just the number. I'm obviously talking about people in my phonebook. The phonebook is fully synced, so no issues selecting a name when I want to dial out. Was there an update to overcome this or any other way I can correct it?

Thanks

Swansty,

Might be a different situation from me, but it might be the +44 issue. For me, I need to store my numbers in my phone (which syncs with everything else) as +44...... so when I make calls from the internal VOIP system at work it works fine.

However the Disco system cannot work out that +44 7777 1234567 is the same number as 07777 1234567, but my phone can. So I have two choices, I can either put two numbers for every contact in my phone, one starting 0 something that the disco recognises and shows the contact name on the screen, and the other starting +44 something so when I make an outbound call on the work system it works, or I buy a brodit cradle and just glance at my phone when I get an incoming call to see the caller id details.

I chose the second option. But a long post to say that the caller id in my MY2010 works fine, however the number has to match EXACTLY for it to work properly.

Hope this helps.

Alastair

All works fine on my MY13, so I guess there was a fix at some point.

Must have been updated at some point because my 2010 only shows the number not the caller name and all my contacts are stored in the +44 number format at least I now know what the problem is!

Thanks alastaid, I checked through my contacts and sure enough they have the +44 prefix. Will change the few important ones and see if that fixes it.
