Someone remind me please do the lite cylinders need a different connection hose to the standard 6kg bottles?

I seem to remember when we bought our van needing to change the hose before I could use the lite bottles but might have imagined it (it might have been on the previous van that came with blue bottles rather than red where I had to change a hose). If so, I'll need to find the old hose.

No, only need to change if you swap between propane and butane (but I never remember which is which)

There is now information from Calor that the Lite cylinders will remain in service (assuming they individually keep passing the safety checks) until the new replacements come out.

Problem will still be finding them if they are just lumped in with the heavies.

Good if true that they will remain until a replacement - a matter of common sense for Calor I'd have thought as they'd rapidly lose market share if they didn't have a lite offering

I use the Gas light bottle, had to change the connection and also upgraded the hose at the same time from rubber to stainless braided... The connection is a 27 mm clip on, like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152592263343

I use the larger 10kg bottle, which only just fits in, will take a photo tomorrow as dragging it out of storage for a clean if it's any help to anyone?

after some digging around over the weekend, seems Calor have already taken about 90% of the Lite bottles out of use. Its a matter of trawling the stockists to find if any have an odd one left. I got lucky at 8am this morning that a small DIY shop ner me had one left, so I grabbed it. Should see me OK through to 2018 (if that really is when Calor have a replacement out).
