Discovery 4 HSE, does it have surround cameras? When I press cameras from the touch screen, I only get the reversing view, no matter what gear etc. Am I missing something?

No. You’ve just got the standard reverse camera. Surround cameras was an option. It might have been standard fit on the HSE Luxury, I can’t remember. It’s not standard on the run out Landmark model. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the wiring for the surround cameras in a MY14 D4 is present even if you only have the reverse camera present.

Nope - option only  D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Anyone know if there is a way to have the reverse camera on while driving like a rear view mirror ?

No, you need to fit it. It’s the camera cables that are a pain. Fitting the power and CAN wiring is easy.

You can activate through the diagnostic screen but it would have to be done every time and would be a real pain in the butt

Even it is possible, don’t bother!
The quality of the surround camera images on the D4 are infamous for being dreadful and if you damage either of the camera lenses on the front bumper (easily done), they’re the thick end of £500 each to replace  2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: FL2 as a second car
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

it must be the later software that allows this as i can just select camera’s then it shows just the rear view camera as thats the only one i have fitted. i click on it and rear view stays on all the time not just when reversing D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo
