Can a 5 seater be changed to a 7 seater?

Ok been weighing up the pro's and con's of changing the D3. Now given that its used 99.9% for work, there are only a few things that have lead me to consider changing it for a fresher model 54-06 reg. One of the wishes is to have 7 seats which would be handy at times now the kids are getting of an age where they want mates/girlfriends/boyfriends carting around. Shocked

So obvious question with plenty D3's being scrapped - can these be fitted to what was a factory built 5 seater - except the middle row seats are ok to do, just not sure regards the 6/7th seat, surely the bodyshell is the same Question

Your thoughts ladies/gentlemen Thumbs Up

Just the seats, set belts and a couple of plastic boot length trim items, piece of cake physically. Have all these bits in my spare room from putting the load deck in. Would your Insurer be happy would be the issue.

DSL, thought so....... looks like your interior is the same Whistle

Not a problem getting both rows of seats/side panels..... plenty of breakers who will P/x old ones for new ones.

Regards the insurance, would need to get it SVA'd at local VOSA station for the conversion so that the V5C could be changed, otherwise insurance company would kick off a bit. Shocked

I'm assuming the mountings are all the same for the 5 & 7 seater. The msg difficult bit is handling the seats as they are wide but bend in the middle. Nothing JMC & I couln't handle couple of years ago. Smile

character - is yours coil or air.

7-seater must have air suspension.
