I have a copy of

"EDS Circuit Design & Simulation

SYSTEM CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS

L319 LHD
FEU Issue 1 - April 28th 2004"

if it helps.
2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

Never looked at it before Embarassed as someone gave it to me ("Here - you've got one of those, haven't you?") and it is dated 2004 with some diagrams from 2001 Shocked .

BUT

there is a INFOTAINMENT CIRCUIT - NAVIGATION

I don't see any wire colours - they're labelled things like 244,G,0,50,1915 or C2114-21

If you think it might help, PM me an email address I can send you a copy to.

The speed signal is on a solid green wire at pin21 on Navigation unit connector C2114, according to the wiring diagram.

Can anyone supply or point me to a picture of the C2114 Navigation System connector please? I didn't download this one from the GTR site the day I downloaded a lot of other docs.
Thanks

Connector C2114 is the big connector on the right of the sat nav unit

Thanks very much, Wiggs. Is the Sat Nav unit the white one at the top?

If you have an XS, you will not have a satnav unit.

In order to get the speed input ofr an aftermarket sat nav, you will need to decode it from the CAN-BUS.

I used this

http://www.ncs-systems.com/introduction/35

And interfaced it to a kenwood KNA G520 Sat nav together with a LZ-702W 6.9" Screen.

Thanks Kevin. I'll stash that reference away for future reference.
However, the speed signal at C2114-21 comes from the radio harness plug C0395 / main harness plug C0981 whcih originates at the ABS module. I am looking to pickup that signal without going out to the ABS unit. I thought C2114 might be the best spot but obviously not for vehicles without SatNav, and its not behind the dash anyway. I'll persue C0395.
