Can you identify this electrical connector....HDC issue
Hello all, I'm trying to solve an HDC issue, but may have other things going on as well, so help required in identifying what this two wire connector goes to.
Quick history, bought 99k '08 D3 and all well for a few days, then threw HDC fault 5mins into drive. Turned off and on and it was ok for rest of day. 3 days later HDC fault happened within a minute and off and on cleared it for rest of day. 3 days later HDC fault on after 30sec of driving. On and off cleared it, but then fault again after 30secs. Garage read faults, all sorts, so we guessed battery was low/on it's last legs. Alternator fine. Fully charged battery and good as gold for a few days, then repeat. Bought a new battery and on taking the old one out the wiring fairies have clearly been at work as none of the connector blocks were properly clipped into their correct locations and this one two wire sub-connector, to the left of the battery when viewing from the front, in the photo was disconnected. Put everything back where it should be and as soon as I turned on the ignition it threw an HDC fault when doing it's start-up checks. Tried several times on and off with ignition, but every time it did the same. I then unplugged this little two wire connector again and no HDC Fault.
Any help gratefully received!

If it's by the battery terminal, it's for the transit relay. It is only used when the car is new, until it is delivered to the first owner.
What did you plug the 2 wire connector into ?

Dear Pete, sorry, my photo hadn't uploaded. I haven't used this before, so all a bit green! The connector in question comes out of the loom to the left of the battery and the male side was unplugged, so I just pushed it back in to reconnect it. Hopefully you can see the photo now.
Best Wishes, Arthur

I remember now. I think there is a blanking end which you plugged it into.
I think it’s a coincidence.

Ah, so it's just some sort of transport thing to stop the vehicle going up on it's suspension and I can just leave it unplugged?
