Can you retrofit parking sensors to D4

Hi - My 2009 D4 GS doesn't seem to have working parking sensors. The sensors seem to be installed in the rear bumper and wired (to something!), but there's no switch next to the hazard light switch. (and no beeps when you reverse!)

Can you retrofit? and if so, it is a question of wiring in a module somewhere, or is everything in place but just not wired to a switch on the dash?

Cheers

the switch is for front sensors. the rears just come on when you go into reverse.

You may have a fault, or they are not configured in the CCF or the reverse switch is bust - double check your reverse lights work as they should.

cheers chaps

If it's not configured in the CCF, is this something I can sort out? I have a bluetooth ODBII thing, or does it need more than that?

Cheers

Look for the other stuff first, including selecting reverse (with all due safety) whilst a second person listens at the sensors for the feint clicking noise.

The generic OBDII think is little more than a novelty item when it comes to diagnosing a D3. It will have zero CCF edit capabilities too.

Thanks guys

The reverse light is working, and today I had a bleep when I put it into reverse (presumably the PDC bleep) - but that's the only occasion I have heard it in the 7-days I've owned the car. The sensors haven't worked at all.

Where's the most likely spot to check first for a dodgy connection? Is it the PDC module behind the rear seat door pillar (NS)

I also looked through the list of fuses, and couldn't find which fuse the PDC is on!!

(BTW - I also have another couple of electrical faults -
- Automatic light switch not working, and
- blown lamp behind the speedo needle
not sure if these are related (on the same fuse etc) but thought I'd mention them)

(VEHICLE IS A 09/2009 D4 3.0TDv6 GS)

Cheers[/list]
