I've managed to find my vagcom (hex com multi car) lead so can plug it in and see what it can see, I'm pretty sure it does can bus. Matt do you have any particular Sw in mind on the laptop? I'm pretty sure the vagcom Sw won't be much use. Pm me. 56 HSE
