Car sinking
I never got an answer what can be wrong when car is sinking but not sinking when I remove fuse 26.Discovery 3, MY2008, TDV6 Auto, G4 Tangiers Orange

You need diagnostics which will point the direction. If you have removed the fuse and the suspension has not lost air, then at least you know the air bags are OK. So the problem lies with the relevant valve blocks or possibly further back the system. There is tons and tons of stuff written on here regarding same, but diagnostics should be your first port of call. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I can't tell you exactly what's wrong but I have a dodgy height sensor which can cause my vehicle to do funky things when it checks the level through the night. No fault codes or any other indication there's an issue. Behaves perfectly when driving etc. The only indication is monitoring the voltage in IID, it's out of whack Vs the other 3. You might try monitoring yours during a drive. Mine thinks it's 100s of volts then -100s of volts where the other 3 sit at iirc 5v +- obviously it isn't 100s of volts but it's a sure sign that something ain't quite right.

Is there a logical reason for having the suspension check and adjust itself when the car is parked up?
I have toyed with the idea of fitting a 12 volt solenoid to isolate the output from fuse 26 when the car is turned off, I think it would prevent the compressor from running too often or too long.Gone 2016 Landmark D4

I can't possibly think of a logical reason why it performs the checks. I've never known the compressor come on to perform a level check once the car is "asleep" though.. not even sure if inflates, just deflates as necessary.
I'd love to know the reason. Maybe on paper there's a pretty good reason. Unfortunately land rover do seem to develop their vehicles on paper with no real world application in mind.

Yes you are correct it only deflates whilst sleeping but that means the poor old compressor has to run on start up to re-inflate the suspension!Gone 2016 Landmark D4

The system "wakes up" periodically and checks the level of each corner. If there is a discrepancy it will adjust the relevant corner valves in an attempt to keep the vehicle as level as possible.
If an air bag is leaking this will obviously cause the system to eventually deplete the reservoir of its stored air. On start up the compressor will have to run full cycle to replenish the reservoir.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
