I, personally, would like far more of the technical side of things, instead of the time wasting blagging by Tim Shaw, it is absolutely cringe making. It is this part of the show that makes me want to shout at the TV and tell TS to stop this over staged rubbish.
I don't have the Discovery channel (too mean) so will have to wait 'til it comes on More4. But I will love to see the finished MGA as I owned one back in the 60s.
I agree with the comments regarding Wheeler Dealers, their finished cars are, in my opinion, only good quality bodge jobs. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Good work and STILL fun watch but I have noticed how the success of these programs normally ends up ruining them when they get too big for their boots and the production companies start to only see the profit rather than the quality...
Wheeler Dealers
Gas Monkeys
Are two cases I can think of.
PS: And its normally the (probably underpaid in relation to the "Star") Co-Star that leaves and effectively spoils the show....

The phrase ‘Wheeler Dealers’ conjures up an image to me; tarting up a motor to flog on. That’s what the early series did. Low budget prepping basically. Latterly it went more upscale. Still enjoy it
Always made me wonder why simple, really simple, tasks were not done as they went along; bumpers off but leaving all the crud underneath when refitted, a wire brush and some protection taken to rusty suspension/brake components during the refurb’, etc.
Can’t accuse car SOS of that, or even some of the latest WD’s

Totally agree regarding the simple little finishing touches. Cleaning up, replacing bolts and screws with new. As said it’s a bodge job. Still love it though. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

My major frustration was that they would not even jet wash the car/underside before working on it. Why not start with a crud free clean car!!!

Did anyone else watch tonight show with the Lancia Delta Integrale? That was borderline heartbreaking watching what would have been the reveal. 2006 TdV6 HSE.

Not seen it yet but heard about it. SWMBO won’t watch it as she’ll blub (means she won’t see me then....)
This is worth a read. Tim comes across as a really decent bloke

Karmann Ghia was good
Although have to ask @Splitpin was it a post production error that Tim Shaw was hammering the Alternator/dynamo instead of the starter motor !!

Haha no he was actually doing that and we were all in the background thinking I hope that makes it into the show!!
The comments regarding the floor pan feels like it has pins pointing down like welding wire!! They are the factory pins than hold the body the floor pans seal in place 🤣👍
I gave up telling them it’s not the same floor pan as a beetle 🤣
