Carpet + Brick acid = Oops!
As per title; brick acid has spilled onto the boot carpet. More specifically it’s on the carpet backing of the folded down seats 6&7.
As it was giving off a similar odour to burnt hair I ripped out the covers so it’s now just the bare metal backs of the seats. I’ve tried googling for all sorts of things but can’t find replacements at all. Anyone any ideas?
Pics attached so you can see what I’m talking about (and so you can laugh!).

Search for vehicle/car trimmers in your area. I don’t think that will be too costly to have professionally replaced.

Just search car or camper van carpet on eBay or such like and pick your colour. Tub of evo-stick and you’re sorted

I had a diesel spill in the back of the car this weekend! I had a 25 litre drum in the back, for the mini digger, and it fell over on the way to the garage to fill it up. Luckily, not much spilled, and most of it stayed on the rubber mat, but some tracked along the groove and spilled down the back of the 6/7 seats. Richard

You can buy the carpets for the backs of the seats separately from the dealers. I changed mine years back as the previous owners dog had clawed a hole in two of them.

I managed to clean up a Volvo V70 estate when the then SWMBO put a 5 litre tin of emulsion in boot upside down with a loose lid......
Had to completely strip rear end out and hours and hours of running under a hose eventually cleaned it enough

Dare I ask how much?
I thought about the local car trimmer option but it really needs to be an exact match to the rest of the existing carpet. Still, that may be the route I need to go down.
Moo; I need almond, I’m afraid. Shame as I’d have had them off you!
at least it won't smell too badly. I had a mate who decided to transport several litres of milk in a large pan in the passenger footwell … had to do an emergency stop. sold the car after months of rotting cheese smell.
I set off to a picnic that included a huge pump-pot of black coffee amongst things my wife loaded in the boot. First roundabout it keeled over and the glass insides broke. I though I had soaked most of it up until a few years later discovered corrosion on the inside of the rear body.
