From a Cayenne to a D3
Ok guys say what you will but the Cayenne is a capable all round vehicle if used and serviced correctly
Ive thought about a D3 for some time and this site really is a cracking source of info and opinion. Higher mileage has never bothered me in the past as long as history and general condition are sound so Ive bought a 2005 SE today with 95k on the clock which drives exceptionally well but decided to change the cam-belt this afternoon which ended up including F&R discs, pads, bfc, oil and filters
Could not be more pleased....

Enjoy should use less fuel and people won't hate you as much as before except when the snow comes.

There aren't that many decent offroad tyres that will go on the Cayennes rims either - plenty for the Disco's especially in 18" which is my preferred wheel of choice.
My mate wants a Cayenne and no amount of technical talk will persuade him otherwise lol, but he's a Porsche nut so I gues it's no different to LR Nuts!

Know how he feels but looking forward to finding out just how good the D3 is although its an older car a smile has not left my mug all day lets hope it doesn't get wiped off too soon.
Currently running on scorpian tyres but have an itch to put a new set of winters on in the next few weeks.

I had Scorp Zero's on last winter and they performed admirably ... and you don't get much more winter than I get up in the mountains where I am
I have Grabber AT2's on now just cause they were at a good price from a member on here they have been great on and off road so far now to see what they do in the snow

Depends on a lot of things though especially if manual or auto.
My manual returns 29.8mpg to 30mpg (worked out by tank not lieometer) on normal mixed driving and gets up to 34 mpg on long runs
