Night is spelt night. Oh, perhaps that's not the sort of feedback you wanted. Whistle

It's a bit hit and miss from my understanding. I've not heard lots of reports, but some of the facilities such as the pool aren't that clean. It may have changed in the last 5-10 years though.

We stay in the Premier Inn on the Coldra Roundabout next to the Beefeater, much better value for money and never had an issue there.

Did New Years day there in 2017, of 25 family members who stayed, 8 of us were sick over the following days. Environmental health involved but hotel insisted was Nora virus (20+ people sick).

Lifts a VERY slow, in end we found staff stairs and used them. Reception also very slow

Food ok for £40 a night hotel but not £100+ a night hotel. Hotel also now a bit dated

Would never ever stay there again.

My opinion of course, I'm sure plenty have enjoyed there

It certainly was. I remember it when I lived in Newport. The entrance was over the motorway off Chepstow Road. The maternity hospital part was turned into the Celtic Manor first before the resort was built on top of the hill.

The place has seen the Ryder Cup and also a Nato Summit, so you'd think they could cope, but it appears they struggle.

I used to live next door to it, my mother worked there when it was a hospital and for the directors when it was a hotel, I played there as a child and worked there for 5 years throughout my teens.
