Central Locking Via Fob Problems |
|
I recently started having problem where my fob wont open/lock the doors; I've been using the maul lock on the passenger door and then pressing the unlock button on the dash above the radio
I initial thought it was the battery in my key, so bought new replacements, but this didn't work
After searching the forum, I'm know thinking its the power feed to the receiver unit itself
Does anyone have any photos of where the receiver is? or how to access it?
Or even better, has anyone replaced the feed cable themselves and can point me in the right direction?
LR have quoted me £250+VAT to fix
Thanks

I really need to try and get this fixed
Does anyone know which cable it is on the recever that needs replacing?
I assume the receiver is the unit behind the plastic cover on the crossmember in the centre of the roof between the seats?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Wire runs from C.J.B. up passenger apost along passenger side of roof then across to R.F. receiver which is mounted behind roof linning behind plastic cover.
