check towing electrics?????? |
|
If any one has had towing electrics fitted by the dealers it may be best to check under the rear bumper and check they are not stopping the weights from moving freely.
I found that the lh rear weight was chaffing on the wires for the towing electrics
1. as far as i am aware these weights affect the ride.
2. the towing electrics could be damaged
This has been fitted by a landrover dealer but none of the cable fixings have been fitted as this requires removing the bumper ( labour saving by the dealer ) 'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive'

In the instructions which come with the electrics there is no mention of having to remove the bumper... You just have to remove the spare wheel to get access from underneath... although small hands are beneficial in fixing the clips in place! As you slide down the banister of life
may no splinters point your way
