I am currently replacing my very worn detachable tow bar today after thinking it was fit to pull anything from my twin axle 12ft flat to my horse box and all the other things we pull with it but it seems I was wrong and now I can not get the bolts out of the chassis, the nuts came off fine and the bolts turn freely but that's all they do just spin round and round ! Any one got any suggestions ?

When I fitted the new trust towbar a few weeks ago the bolts had spacers the width of the chassis in side. I would imagine the spacer tubes have rusted to the bolts. If you cut the hex head off you should be able to wiggle the rest out at an angle. D4

Thanks for your advise, turned out that the bolt is threaded into the larger bolt and was just all turning but once I got my head round what was going on it all came off ok and the new tow bar is fitted and ready for some more work
Next job is a new air tank as when I was underneath I could hear an air leak ? Turned out my air tank has a tiny pin prick hole in it ! Seems to of rotted through
