Agreed re: fuel filter (see original post)

Checking my records, looks like the Indy has just been doing the service A without telling me (and without me noticing tbh). Last bill with a fuel filter element is 4 years ago!

Cleaned MAP sensor this morning which was a little gunky. Fuel pressure gauge arrives today to check flow but I think I already know the answer. Hope the LPFP isn’t knackered.

LR want £250 to change the filter - and it only looks like a half hour job from the online videos? Is it a bad / tough job?

Just realised you asked about changing the fuel filter, it's not hard Laughing

Thanks for the links

Mine is a later model (8a VIN) so has the cassette type with three bayonet fittings.

Managed to persuade my favourite Indy to help out. Will change filter for me at 08:00 tomorrow - couldn’t get one myself before then and i would then need to fit it. Fingers crossed.

BTW, is it just me or is every garage chock a block ATM? Tried to get my wife’s car booked in for an MOT and two new rear springs - first availability is three weeks away!

Quick update

Fuel filter seems to have resolved the problem. Touch wood.

Indy replaces them every year - and at £50 it seems daft not too!

Thanks to all for their help. Nice easy fix after all.
