Despite only having had new rear brakes in the autumn, I'm told that the squeeking noise when the car is hot is due to dust in the rear brakes and that cleaning them out regularly is not a warranty item.
So, can I do this easily myself?
Car is a manual so the EPB is always used (it sets itself even if you don't) but is never abused, so it seems to me that this is really a design issue. Short of LR accepting that, it's a DIY issue methinks... Andy C

Hi
I have to clean mine about 2 to 3 times a year to get rid of the sqeeling noise, It is easy if you know what your doing , setting up the shoes is a case of following the instructions to the T .
I have a copy i can send you if needed ( your e mail address needed)
It should take no longer than 20-30 min per side to remove disc/drum and clean then reset. 'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive'
