Climate control on hot, yet it's still cold

I usually have the CC on 22 deg (no rear air con). It warms the interior perfectly but after about 30 mins of driving (60% stop/start) it seems to ignore the 22 deg. and start cooling the interior. Today I had to put it on max temp just to maintain a warm interior. Screen/feet vents appear to turn off and dash vents blow cold air. Air con is on. Any suggestions or am I just getting soft?

I've had the CC also just " hang up" on me a few times.
Had it stuck on cold, in winter, blowing on my feet Shocked
Had the CC module changed twice to get it fixed.
Let the steelers check it out.

The CC is designed such that once the interior is up to the selected temperature, "fresh" air is directed at the driver from the dash vents in order to keep him/her alert. If you're not convinced, try driving around for a while with a thermometer on the passenger seat to see if 22° is being maintained and if it isn't, then get the dealers to check it out.

Also - isn't there a 'sunlight sensor' on the center dash that senses the warming effect of direct sunlight, and adds more cold air to the mix accordingly?

So that's why I see so many Disco drivers wearing thick coats when driving Very Happy

Many thanks for the suggestions. I will take a temp gague for a drive and see if the cabin temp is actually holding the correct temp. Good plan!

Search the early days of this forum, there is a fix that involves fitting an insulating pad in the heat sensor. The problem is caused by the interior heat sensor picking up heat from inside the dashboard. This makes it think the car is warmer than it really is, and it tries to cool the cabin down.

There is a bulletin about it. You need to do a search.

Thanks Gareth. The tricky bit is knowing what to type into the search but here's a few links re this topic (which appears like a regular feature that I did not find first time round Embarassed ) for anyone else with same issue:
