Probably a silly question, but has anyone replaced that LED with a green one?

That would be less annoying, but the icon would still be incorrect. At this point it might be easier to obtain a later binnacle and fit that!
I have just done it again with the correct CCF. No more Webasto / headlight warning confusion.

I have just searched for the tool and found this:
"The ELM327 is a great tool for diagnostics on any OBD2 compliant vehicle and makes a great replacement to other tools that might cost you thousands of dollars. Although it does not support programming of the vehicle"
So that'll be a 'no' then, it's just a diagnostic code reader, it doesn't appear to have the ability to reset anything significant either. That'll be why it's only £5 on Amazon.

Thanks for the answer, I used in other cars, subaru, citroen and seat, and I can read errors codes, and erase some simple errors

Just knowing what's wrong (or what the system thinks is wrong) can be useful.

Be aware that this is cheap chinese fake rubbish! do not believe everything written on the internet, especially when it is called : "Great"and or "cheap and says saves you thousands of dollars.."
the ELM chip is a european made and copyrighted chip, the fake chinese do not contain this chip..
"THE" ELM is another product than the one on the picture here in this topic..
that is the reason PROFSR G said what he said about his bin..
belief what you want, use what you want, but the D3 & D4 are expensive cars when it goes wrong, just beware
for programming your ecu's have a look at the site sponsors and look for GAP IID or Nanocom or others and expect to pay around 400 gbpBest regards

Now that's an awesome idea! Connect your device to your bin to increase storage capacity!

I got an old instrument cluster and punched out the lights on symbol. Stripped mine down, punched out the FBH symbol and secured the lights on in its place. Removed the red led and replaced with green. I used a 12 volt tiny grain of rice sized led rather than the small square ones on the pcb. It’s slightly brighter than original leds. I could probably tint it down a bit with tape or a marker pen but I still prefer this to “I have a diesel fire in a tin can going in my car” symbol. It’s a bit fiddly soldering but if blind old Edward Sausage hands here can do it anyone can
