Clutch Pedal broken stuck at Tescos

I just started disco, pushed clutch down and i heard a crack and it is staying down and i can not select a gear.

I have pulled the panel off and can see what is happening but i do not have any tools to take under panel off.

There are 2 brackets either side of the pedal. the one on the left side is cracked and when i push clutch down it now moved the cylinder sideways instead of pushing the level down.

i had a quick look on internet and i can not find the part anywhere.

I have just about had it with this discovery it keeps breaking on me

Sorry to hear of your problem, I can't offer anything in the way of assistance I fear.

To state the obvious it's well over 10 years old, no doubt done a decent mileage in that time, and inevitably with a complex beast like this maintenance will be more expensive, and frequent that with a younger car.

Good luck, I hope it's an easy fix.

Try starting the engine and select low ratio. Stop engine. Try and select third. If you can get it in, you'll be able to start her in gear and get home. Did that on my D1 when clutch release arm snapped

I believe there were one or two similar instances best part of 10yrs ago, one in Morocco requiring some 'local' welding to repair. Think there's a post with some photo's on here somewhere ... but I'm rubbish at searching on here Embarassed

If you can find it, it may give some clues how to tackle.

Is it one of these brackets?

Looks like part no SUB000021 possibly but that's the whole assembly
might be better taking it off and getting it welded
