compressor failed?

Hello,

I was on my way home last night, and I got a message on my RRS 2.7 tdv6 that the suspension was not working correctly.

IID say that the pressure is not rising fast enough.

I checked the heights last night, and then left it till the morning, and it has not dropped at all.

BUT... the compressor is running VERY hot.

After only about 1 minute, the compressor is running at over 100°C, and then goes up to 150°C and then cuts out.

Since the height is not dropping, I am pretty sure that I don't have an air leak anywhere (pressure in the rail is not dropping over night either) so am I right in thinking that the problem is almost definitely the compressor?

I have a "spare" compressor at home... how long does it take to replace the compressor on a RRS? Please note.. I have never done it before.

Thanks for any advice you can give!!

Nick

could be the compressor.

Takes about an hour to change.
Getting the large pipes out the rear (near wheel arch) can be difficult, so start on these.

The pipe connectors have a collar. You press the collar in, and this releases the grip on the pipe. The pipe should then pull out.
