compressor question
i think compressor is on the way out as after 30 - 45mins of driving i see all the lights, special programmes off etc warning on the dash
i have had the compressor replaced and did over 2500 miles trip london to istanbul few yrs ago with no issues but this time i am planning a trip from london to west african countries and we all know terrain is rough and temperature may go up to 50 degrees in some parts.
so, question is, would a newly fitted compressor be reliable for the above mentioned trip or i shall downgrade to coils? i do love the terrain response settings and having the air suspension but guess i may need to comprimise as dont wanna stuck in the middle of nowehere with compressor issues.
any feedback is appreciated especially those who did african overlands in d3/d4s !2005 D3 V8 SE

The air reservoir tanks do tend to rust and develop a leak so it would be well to check that as well. The Land Rover specialist I go to replaced 2 on the day I had mine replaced so it would seem to be a weak point.
The air reservoir is simple to swap out. I could hear mine hissing once when I got out. I was getting the error that the suspension was raising slowly.
I'd have hated to switch to coils

Perfectly normal for the car to “fart”, it is the car self levelling.

I got mine from TLO but I don’t think anyone from Yeovil is a site sponsor anymore, so, maybe give Dan at Duckworths a shout.
