Compressor running constantly

Hello,

I have a problem with my discovery. When the car is in normal or high suspension(i don't test on low), after about 2 minutes an air sound is heard in the area of the compressor. The compressor work for about 20-30 seconds and then stops. This cycle is always repeated.

Video :

Can anyone give me some advice, where can I start solving the problem?

Do you have a suspension warning light on your instrument binnacle? Sounds like your compressor is doing what it's supposed to do!

When you raise the suspension air is released from the reservoir to inflate the air bags. The compressor is then activated to replenish this air and refills the reservoir. The compressor exhaust valve can be heard to release unwanted pressure when the reservoir is full! Under normal usage this takes around 20 - 30 seconds, and can be longer depending on the reservoir pressure and/or a leak in the system.

So, if you do not have any dash warning light, you do not have a problem, and your compressor is working fine Thumbs Up

As Profsr G said, but you could check the reservoir for leaks with soapy water and where the pipes come out of the rear of the compressor

If you do not have any fault indications on the dash it sounds all normal to me.

So what makes you think there is an issue? Just sounds like the air compressor is just topping up the tank. That "Chuff" sound is just the suspension venting excess pressure - the fact that you can hear it over the engine running sounds as if the exhaust air pipe at the rear of the compressor has come off and is venting direct to atmosphere rather than through the exhaust pipe and muffler up in the inside of the vehicle at the back corner. Not such as issue as I have mine disconnected so here what is going on with the compressor.

It seems to me a problem that he does so all the time. The process is repeated. Turn the compressor on and off about 5 times in 10 minutes ... That's why I say I don't think it's normal

Ah OK I understand you better now, there should be a diagnostic code logged but it does appear you have a leak causing the compressor to keep trying to fill the reservoir.

If you lie down alongside the left hand side of the car you might be able to hear a leak with the engine turned off.

Otherwise you will need to get the diagnostic codes read. Thumbs Up

The video was made after I changed the right front air spring (it had leaks and errors) I checked both the front air springs + the valve block (with foam) and they were ok. I will also check the rear springs, the compressor, the rear valve block and the air tank ... No sound is heard when the engine is stopped.

I still don't know if I have any errors, because I didn't drive after changing the spring .

Thanks all , for fast help. And sorry for my english!
