Compressors on back order.
Hi all, looking for a bit of advice, car is in Stratstones Woodford for a service and a suspension fault. They called earlier to report the compressor is u/s and needs replacing, problem is they are on back order and they can't give me a delivery date. I've called customer care and they couldn't give me any further information re. delivery.
They did say they would liase with Stratstones and there may be a possibility of one being lifted from the production line... Is there anything else I could try as I really need it fixed for family holiday in less than 3 weeks?
Thanks,
Matt

you could always see if TLO has one on his shelf I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Not sure of the exact terminology but if you speak nice to LRCC explain that you are desperate to get the car fixed, they will then escalate the part, however your dealer needs to do their bit first by issuing a VOR to LR

Thanks AndrewS
They have placed a VOR order and the customer care guy said they could up this to critical status.
CC will be contacting me tomorrow for an update

Grease monkey, I can tell you courtesy of the great TLO himself that its looking like delivery around the second week of July. I believe he has a few on order, including one for me
Mine was not faulty, but a mate of mine needed one for his Sport and my D3 is gonna be laid up for another week or so anyway, as i am slowly doing a major refit / upgrade on it, so i donated it.

Sounds like things are all in order LRCC will kick butt when required.
My 110 threw a rear diff just before we went to Morocco a few years ago. There was one available on the shelf in Italy They were about to air lift it to the UK but the supplier delivered a batch so all was well in the end.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
