Consol for heating and vents stopped working (Disco 4, 2010)

Today, the console for the air conditioning, switches for seat heating, air and window heating suddenly stopped working completely dead. Emergency Flash, Radio and Infotainment system works as normal. The terrain response system also works.
While I checked the fuses (No. 61 and 62 under the dashboard) the car stopped by itself. After this I was not able to start it again. No reaction in engine when I pressed the start button. Checked on fuses, found nothing wrong. Finally pushed the brake pedal down hard and pressed the start button, then the car started again, but the console is still dead. Any suggestions? No error messages

Possible cause and solution?

I put the battery on charge, the indicator on the charger showed 3 of 8 lights. After charging, things still did not work. Then disconnected the battery and on again after about 30 seconds. Then everything was working again. So it may seem that low battery power was the cause of the problem and that the battery had to be switched on and on again to "reset" the system. If someone else have other experiences with problems like this, please share, is not 100% sure that the battery was the main problem here?

do you mean the timed climate didn't work ?

mine has an Altox controller and when it tried to fire up on the time I have it set for, it txt'd me that battery was low and didn't start (after car had been sat unused for about 3 days and previous to that used for short trip in the dark, so all electrics would've been on).
i believe it won't run when battery is low, not because of use of fuel but because the fans would drain the battery and it prevent sthat to try to avoid flattening battery to point where you would not be able to start the car.

No, the airconditioning controls, switches for seat heading, vent controls and switches for defrosting front and rear windows did not work. (placed under the CD player opening)

I don't know if it is this, but having a dodgy battery (or a pretty flat one) tends to bring D4's out with all sorts of symptoms. Seeing as a good charging and hard reset has worked, I'd leave things alone, unless it happens again. If it happens again, my first port of call would be to see how well the battery is holding a charge. Remember (but I guess you might know) we are in the time of year where lots of electrical accessories are getting used (wipers, blowers, screen heaters, heated seats, etc.) and if you do only short runs, possibly the battery isn't getting charged enough to replace the draw on it after starting the vehicle.
