Constant squeel

I have a squeel thats there most of the time but i noticed tonight if i turn very slightly to the left it stops, It also stops if i ever so slightly touch the brakes. So what do you think ...wheel bearing or pads squeeling.

Rob

Had it 4 weeks, fast becoming worst car ive ever had, even beats my Pajero that was a right Censored
But i do like it.

It's quite a commonly reported issue, a search will bring up some helpful threads.

Hi Rob,

for sure it's a case of brake pads that need replacement!

I've had exactly the same thing. Like you say as soon as you touch the brake pedal it stops. With me it was the right rear pad that made the noise, the outside one. You probably can see a part of the brake disc that is shiny where the pad holder touches the disc and will sort of polish it.

It could be that you don't have the brake wear sensor cable installed / connected so you may not get an indication on you dash. I would check and have them replaced if it is the pads. You don't want your brake to go bad!

Good luck, Paul
