Coolant Leak - Thermostat Bypass Bleed Valve Broken

Had a coolant leak yesterday evening - went out to collect the mail and thought "what's that dripping sound?" - and there was the Landie sitting in a huge pool of coolant.

In the dark with a couple of lamps I found that the bleed valve positioned on the thermostat bypass loop had broken, I went to pull the other end out and it broke too. This is located under the removable engine cover.

I replaced it today with a brass fitting (probably temporarily as I think I'll order stainless steel bleed tee from Swagelok or someone like that), topped up the coolant, washed the engine, skid plates, and drive and now all is well.

06 Disco 3 65K miles.
