Correct Oil Filter?

Hi I am changing the oil in my 2014 D4. Ive just removed the oil filter and the new one has a kind of protruding seal ring whereas the old one is just flat faced. Both the old and new are the same at each end. The new one is a Bosch suspect the old one is OE as a dealer serviced it last. Will it be OK?
