hi peeps
hopefully i will be trying to fit a rai courtesy of steve smith this weekend weather permitting
q-how does the plastic cover over the a pillar at the side of the screen ,come off?
dont want to break anything and not be able to put it back

Yep it does.

There is a threaded hole under it you need to hold the top of the RAI - the instructions will show that you have to remove the cover so you can drill a hole in the top and gain access to the threaded hole.


Did you download the instructions?



Top tip - get a rivnut gun - I tried a homemade job and didnt quiet do the trick with much heartache Rolling Eyes

I think the threaded hole you refer to has to be drilled and a rivnut added, it's not there as standard.

Just replaced both pillar trims last week. You can just give it a good pull but pushing it firmly upwards and them pulling it reduces the chance of breaking the pins.

the hole is there alright.



should have remembered really cos with the wrong tool it took forever to get the rivnut to bite Rolling Eyes
