Cracked Dash

About to see how good the Alliance warranty is. Had the D3 in at the steelers to have dash replaced under warranty and should know if they will come to the party sometime next week.

Also I see that Haynes has released the workshop manual for the D3, ordered one online yesterday. It will give me something to read on the 25 hour flight back to Washington DC where it is a balmy -7 as compared to Darwin which is 34 and really humid. Take the road less traveled. Dual battery system.ORS drawers,LR cargo Barrier.ARB Bull bar,side protection bars,Mickey Thompson ATR's 17" rims, Rear wheel carrier, radiator guard TPMS Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch LR RAI Steel Rims , GME UHF, Off Road GPS, Llams (yet to be fitted)

Good luck!

Maybe invest in a (big!) windscreen shade? They are a pain to get around the snorkel.

Hey Wayne - I got the Shevron brand dash mat for my previous D3 and D4. They seem to fit well and keep the dash cooler.

I'm locked in Darwin time.
No reply from LR so went to see them and ask where we are up to in this saga.

Well the guy that is looking after it is off today, was the reply. Has the claim been lodged as the vehicle was inspected on 25 th.
Oh no he has been too busy! You are Censored joking seemed to get some sort of interest. They assure me that they will contact Alliance by cob tomorrow. Think I will call Alliance myself.
Why do motor companies allow one dealer to do 5 different franchises. It is no different with my daughters Holden. Just no customer service and no one gives a Censored Evil or Very Mad Take the road less traveled. We're half way there ! The leaking gasket has been approved for replacement and awaiting the approval for the dash Very Happy
Dash mat arrived today from WA so at least next dash will be protected Take the road less traveled. New dash and replacement gasket all covered by Allianz Very Happy we are booked in for the 26 th so will all be done before we return to the USA Take the road less traveled.
