2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3
Credit where credit is due

We have owned our car since Saturday and only now do i think that we are getting to grips with all the bells and whistles for 'basic' operation.

However, our time has not just been spent reading books and pressing buttons but mostly it has been spent behind the wheel.

I have driven some impressive cars but this car has impressed me the most. It cant be compared to the Disco2 in anyway (on road capabilities) in any way shape or form. 8)

I shouldnt say this but it drives exactly how i would expect a brand new Range Rover to drive. People keep asking me what it is like and i can best describe it to them in the following way.
If you imagine what a Rolls Royce is like to drive for smootheness etc and havent actually driven one then that is what my Disco is like (hope that makes sense).

I find myself using any excuse to go for a drive. This is evident in the fact that ive done over 200 miles and havent really been anywhere.

Iam a supercritical person when i spend over 40k on a car but the only things tpo note that i have found is the scratch on the headlight and the interior blind that wont close. These are all to be sorted by the dealer in the next few days but as i say, i have looked hard to find fault and thats all i have come up with.

Oh, there is another thing, when using the voice recognition for say a restaurant, it understands my Northern accent but nothing happens after that. The instruction book is no real help but im obviously missing something!
Do you have to have a route planned before it will give you the info or can you just do it from your stationary location?

If anyone is wondering whether or not to buy one, do it without hesitation.
Not even a Volvo XC90 can compare with the on road drive and as for the off road, well...........we all know which one is best. Wink

No, im still hungry

Once you give a voice command the next thing to show up on the Dashboard is 'show POI'

What do i do next to confirm this. Ive tried everything and nothing happens.

Yes we have.It all works fine when you use the buttons but when you use the voice control, the nice lady repeats what ive said and then we get the message which says ' show POI'.

What do you have to do next?

Where does it show them?

What happens when you give a command, does it come up 'show POI' on the Dash?

Sorry about all the questions
