Cruise Control....(Again)

CC switch +/- works OK as it should.

CC switch On/Off is the problem.

Problem:

CC activated and works OK from start up.
CC de-activates OK when using footbrake (Auto Box) and CC will re-enable with On/Off swith OK.

When CC is de-activated using On/Off swith, with the 1st press CC stays enabled, when pressed 2nd time CC de-activates but CC will then not work at all until a re-start has been carried out.

To sum up, CC will not work after using the On/Off switch on steering wheel to de-activate.

Any Help would be appreciated. I have done a search but have been unable to find this exact CC fault.

Thanks

UPDATE: Sorted

Diagnosed problem and then realised it's covered by Tesco's Finest.

SO. Off to dealer.

Dealer diagnosed exactly my findings, ordered parts and now all sorted.

Thanks Nick (TLO) for your time Thumbs Up , unfortunately Tesco's were cheaper even with Yeovil's discount.

Had the same problem Paul. Don't use CC often but started to use it along the stretches of motorway roadworks covered by average speed cameras.

Lined up Tesco Warranty to cover a new clock spring or whatever and before I had a chance to book it in to the dealer it cured itself! I put it down to lack of use - reckon butons got sticky
