The longest extension cable CTEK do is a 2.5 meter with comfort fit plug/socket. Making the MAXIMUM run they could supply being 5M (1.5 COMFORT INDICATOR PANEL + 2.5 + the bit of cable already on the charger of about 1M). I presume you COULD link all of these together as there is NO specific limit mentioned on CTEKs home web site, meaning 5M is possible.

The 2.5M extension cable is new I think as I've not seen it before. Don't forget a lot of CTEK units are IP68 rated so they are OK to be out in the elements as long as not TOTALLY submerged in water.
If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

I received one of the CTEK 2.5m extension cables for Christmas, was going to buy one of the tow electric adapters from the D3 shop, but not sure now as I have a comfort lead fitted as well.

Sorry about that Martin, might still purchase one even though I now have this extension cable.

Not with single 7 pin. Only the single 13 pin.

Do you mean 12N or the 'new' 13 pin socket?

It will work with the 13 pin electrics via different pins and Martin sells suitable adaptors for these too.

I thought the only electrics available for the D3 was the twin 12N/12S or the 13 pin. Do you just have a 12N socket on its own?

Yep I bought a detachable of fleabay and it came with free electrics. Albeit basic single 12n. From what I can see the others are a doddle to fit as well

Before Ctek sold the extension cables I had spoken to them about getting one made up, they stated that any 'additional' cable would affect the operation of the unit, now the Censored ers are selling them Rolling Eyes Laughing

So I've in invested in a MXS5, 12S plug & a comfort connector as Moneypit just isn't doing the miles any more to keep the battery in tip top condition.

Can I just double check that no modification is required to the vehicle wiring to be able to just plug the Ctek into the Grey auxiliary tow plug & charge from there?

I see no mention of a need to modify anything beforehand, but thought i'd ask before i blow something up Whistle

no modification required as long as you have tow electric sockets
