I've been looking at the cream/almond one for my car, did you fit it over the top of the original vinyl type covering? How easy was it to do.

Cheers

the covering of the cover of my original cubby was not in leather but made of a thin layer of synthetic leather.

I cut the internal flap/lapel because the new lining is made by good quality leather and has a considerable thickness. In doing so, I recovered a little 'thickness, however little, and the result is perfect.

In all honesty, working for a company that produces special and armored vehicles, I did the job with our upholsterer who is very skilled, but it is a job that can be done even by yourself and newcomers.

Just have a good glue for fabrics / leather (I'm using the TEROSON VR 5000) and start from the central longitudinal line of the lid and proceed towards the sides, a little at a time, because once you have glued it, you do not rest it any more and you can check the allignement of the seams along the edge.

I advise you to find the best position by trying to put it without glue so you understand what is the best position and how to proceed with the gluing

I found it on a website that did all manner of parts and trim. I can't for the life of me find it again.

Nick, the one i found wasn't on the bay, but the one you linked still looks good and is around a third of the price.
