Cuise control retrofit

My Disco3 has no cruise control and at the dealer told me it would cost 3000 euro and is not recommended because sometimes it does not work properly.
Anyone fitted cruise control after purchase?

Hi, you have just to buy a the cruise buttons panel which is mounted on the steering wheel. it costs less than 100 Euros and is very easy to put. (like the radio buttons ) --> You can use this opportunity to buy the radio buttons panel and put it . See the topic on "fitting command buttons to base radio".
however, after install the butons on your steering wheel, you must bring your car to your dealer to setup the software and activate this function. the real difficulty is to find an honest dealer who accept to do this operation.

I had an aftermarket cruise control fitted to my base D3 auto more than a year ago and it works fine, I have had no problems and travelled thousands of miles using it most of the time. You can find my posting under maintenance & mods. Cost around 750 euro fitted. See pictures in my gallery or email me for further photo's if required.
